BIRD LANDSCAPE DESIGN founder Brian Bird graduated from the California State University in Pomona with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Landscape Architecture. From there he has apprenticed with such renowned landscape architectural firms including Nuvis, John Hanna Design, and Richard Berridge Landscape Architect.
To augment technical skills acquired during employment with the aforementioned, Mr. Bird has worked as an assistant landscape construction superintendent. This facilitated the learning of many physical components of landscape construction from a builder’s perspective that provides him with greater insight and understanding of landscape form and function.
Mr. Bird has also worked as a greenskeeper maintaining a Golf Digest 4 Star resort golf course where he assisted with its golf course and landscape architectural remodelling. He also has been employed as a landscape contract estimator, earthmoving equipment operator, arborist, surveyor and nurseryman. These experiences influence his design philosophy:
“To create timeless, environmentally sound, economically viable landscapes that are dynamic, beautiful, easily maintained and fulfil the client’s vision and goals.”
